The Process

  • 1

    Initial Consultation

The process begins with a dialogue between you and Jim to determine exactly what you are looking for in your new Kish bike. We'll discuss how you want your bike to fit, look, and ride and how we can help you achieve those goals.

  • 2

Submit Fit Form Download Fit Form

Once we have determined the type of bike you are looking for, we ask that you complete our detailed fit form. By providing in-depth measurements of your body and existing bike(s), Kish is able to custom-tailor each frame to perfectly suit your needs.

  • 3

    Place Deposit

After the fit form has been submitted, we require a $2,000 deposit to begin work on all of our custom frames. Complete bikes require a $4,000 total deposit.

  • 4

    Design Drawings

Taking all of your measurements into account, we will work together with you to prepare CAD drawings of your new frame so you can visualize the geometry and aesthetics before physical construction begins.

  • 5

    Frame Construction

Once you are happy with the technical drawings we've developed in Step 4, construction begins. Your frame will be meticulously crafted from the ground up, start-to-finish, by Jim Kish himself.

  • 6

    Final Prep

Once your frame has been finished it will be professionally prepped to ensure a hassle-free build. If have you specified certain components or a complete build, that will also be installed here at the shop if requested.

Jim takes great pride in producing frames that are perfectly engineered and constructed — every time. He is obsessed with creating high quality products that consistently exceed customer expectations.

Precision Mitering

Tubes are carefully mitered to produce perfect joints every time. When it comes to welding great frames, it all starts with precise preparation and Kish mitering is a testament to that fact.
